THE BLACK HELICOPTER CROWD

(FRAZER CHRONICLE)

(All the News That Nobody Else Will Print)

What in hell is the Black Helicopter Crowd?  Where are they, what do they do, are they an all black elite squadron of war time helicopter pilots? All good questions and all deserving an answer…..the term became popular in the 1990’s as a symbol and a warning sign of an alleged conspiratorial military takeover of the United States.

I’ve got to admit that I’d never heard the term until this week when, in the final hours of the Obama care deadline for signing up for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, the reference came to the forefront on Fox News Network. During a newscast on Wednesday, April 2, Shepard Smith said that “the Black Helicopter Crowd” disputed the White House’s numbers, of 7.1 million that had enrolled (signed up) for affordable care.

A little over 7,000,000 have signed up for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act, like last minute shoppers, more than 3,000,000 people came forward in the final hours of the mandated witching hour to push the number over the top. In fact that number that had been counted by Wednesday morning was 7.1 million.

Some Democrats, and ALL Republicans think that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, (PPACA) is a bad idea. Many say that the act is nothing more than a power grab by the federal government. The act, which is a law, mandates and dictates what American citizens are allowed to do with a goodly amount of their health dollars. These same people look on Obama-Care as a huge reach by government and an invasion of their rights.

I was wondering about a couple of things that might be construed to be an invasion of our rights as free American citizens;

a. Can you operate a vehicle on public streets without a driver’s license?

b. Can you, (in most states) operate a vehicle on public streets without auto insurance?

c. Can you visit public parks and museums without paying an entry fee?

d. Can you NOT pay sales tax, local, state, and federal?

e. Can you NOT pay state taxes?

f. Can you NOT pay payroll taxes, state as well as federal?

g. Accounts receivable tax.

h. Building permit tax.

i. CDL license tax.

j. Dog license.

k. Hunting & fishing licenses.

l. Marriage license.

m. Property tax.

n. Cigarette tax.

o. Real estate tax.

p. Road usage tax

q. Water-well permit

r. Trailer registration tax.

You see, we are already programmed to pay, pay, pay…..taxes and permits to government almost without question; it’s an excepted duty and responsibility, some money is taken out of every paycheck, and the rest we pay at the end of the year. Without these taxes there really wouldn’t be a government, government isn’t an entity that can independently manufacture a product and sell it. The federal government, anyways here in the United States operates on services that are rendered, and us…..the citizens who take advantages of these services, and through our tax payments, pay for the services. Incidentally with little exception, the services that we receive are suggested by civilian groups or individuals.

WHY IS IT THAT REPUBLICANS (BY AND LARGE) HATE AND FEAR OBAMA-CARE

The hoity-toity of American society do not need any part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act; they’ve been installing fully equipped and staffed emergency rooms inside their homes for years, at a cost of $1,000,000 for the initial installation, it would be fool-hardy for these people and their family members to ever walk through the swinging doors of a public, or even a private hospital facility.

To me, it would seem ok for private individuals to establish and continue his own way of practice his health care plan…..and include whomever he wants under the plan. I’m not sure whether there Obama-Care addresses this issue, but I am sure that whatever the problem, a solution could be found to allow “Mr. Money Bags” to continue his own private health care program.

I personally dislike the PPACA because the Obama administration relied on the insurance companies to establish a huge sector of the Obama Care act…..again hiring a fox to keep foxes out of the hen-house. Everybody needs health insurance; we don’t need 75% of the population paying for a hundred percent of the population. Everybody needs to pull his/her weight with regards to health care in the United States, however, no matter what you think, say, or do, there’s always going to be a percentage of the U.S. that won’t.

Are these people deadbeats, lazy, physically or mentally impaired…..yes, probably a bit of all four of the maladies. However as the greatest country on the face of the earth…..and maybe in the history of mankind, we need to take care of this 25%.....its mandatory, and our duty to do so,

Republicans have several fixes for a flawed health care plan, unless you can call all of the start-ups, then delays, and then the oops that has defined Obama-Care over the past six months or so. Hell I’m not a Republican, and I personally think that the plan is a real mess…..but the act is the first step in getting all U.S. citizens under some sort of universal health care.

Republicans are right to call the PPACA law a cumbersome kind of dimwitted piece of legislation that is hard to understand, and fails to achieve some of what initially was to be either eliminated altogether, or curtailed. Misinterpretation of many points or the fact that you need to be a Harvard law student to sift through all of the crap contained in the act.

Republicans fear PPACA because their afraid that the damn thing might work…..and than what will the party do to combat a fix for a dilemma that has dogged the country more than a hundred fifty years. If the act were to work it just might spell the end times for the Republican Party, at least as we know it at the present time.

Even worse, what if people actually LIKE Obama-Care, and become enamored with it, and then look at the Republican Party, and their plan to help to fix the problem which includes forcing people to work longer before they can retire, ouch not a pretty picture,

AND THEN THERE’S THE REPUBLICAN STUDY COMMITTEE

The Republican Party has a study committee with 170 members, the Republican Study Committee, RSC whose overbearing goal is to lower taxes, and somehow cut governments roll in their ability to question, examine and to issue statements condemning faulty practices in American business.

It is this little known committee that has cried the loudest in the Obama-Care skirmish regarding any type of universal health care alteration from the way that business is now done. The PPACA would not spell the end of the health insurance industry…..but it would be the beginning of the end.

There is a war out there my friends; we’re in the middle, and need to be aware of what is going on, on both sides. Conservatives want to protect the status quo; it’s good for the 1%ers. many of whom are in the insurance industry.

I really can’t understand why conservatives are fighting this issue hammer and tong, they have relatively little to lose, and a whole bunch to gain if Obama-Care fails. People won’t get their hours cut, where’s the proof, there isn’t any, there’ll be extra costs, you betcha there will, but it’s going for a good cause…..the American people….we’ll eat the additional cost, we always do.

HAVE A NICE DAY!
