S.E. CUPP, NOT A BRAND NAME FOR AN ATHLETIC SUPPORTER!

This past Friday evening I watch HBO’s Bill Maher Liberal television talk show with his (usual suspect) guests, and for about 45 minutes the panel as Maher calls his guests bandied back and forth about the issues of the day as scripted by Bill Maher and his staff.

 

This episode went pretty much as usual until the conversation switched to gun control, background checks and the size of magazines that were allowed. One of the guests, S E Cupp, a gun advocate stated that since more firearms were available, since the disastrous shootings at the Columbine school, mass shootings have went down.

 

That’s it, the was the basis of her argument, and although S E  looks like a real fox nobody brought her to task about her opinion of less is better! Honey…..on the issues of background checks, magazine size and what types of guns might be available to consumers, you’re all wet, and I hope your wearing a sheer blouse!

 

One death of a person, young or old is unacceptable; S E you must be out of your fricken mind if you think nobody would check your wild accusation about mass shootings going down because more people had guns. I’ve checked out, online the number of just the most notable mass shootings in the U.S. since the April 1999 Columbine shootings that took 12 students and a teacher. I had forgotten some of the carnage that some people pile on others, and I’m supposed to be aware!

 

THE LIST

July 1999, stock exchange trader in Atlanta killed twelve including wife and two children before taking the cowards way out…..put a bullet in his head!

 

September 1999, gunman opens fire at a prayer service in Fort Worth Texas killing six before eating a bullet!

 

October 2002, series of sniper-style shootings in and around Washington DC leaves 10 dead.

 

August 2003, out-of-work Chicago worker shoots to death six former co-workers.

 

November 2004, Wisconsin hunter kills six hunters and wounds two after argument.

 

March 2005, man opens fire at a Wisconsin church killing seven.

 

October 2006, Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania, truck driver kills five schoolgirls and seriously wounds six others before biting the bullet himself.

 

April 2007, Seung-Hui Cho shoots and kills 32 people, wounds 15 others before taking the cowards way out at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, West Virginia.

 

August 2007, three Delaware State University students were shot and killed (execution style) by 28-year old and two 15 year-old boys, a fourth student was shot and stabbed.

 

December 2007, 20 year old man shoots nine people to death, wounds five others in a shopping center in Omaha, Nebraska.

December 2007, women and her boyfriend shoot dead six members of her family on Christmas Eve in Carnation, Washington.

 

February 2008, a shooter, still at large, ties six women, shooting five to death, and leaving one injured but alive in clothing store in Chicago.

 

February 2008, at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois five students are shot to death, and 16 others are wounded.

 

July 2008, former student shoots to death three students in a computer lab at a small college in Phoenix, Arizona.

 

September 2008, mentally ill man, released from jail in Alger, Washington one month earlier shoots six people dead and two wounded.

 

October 2008, several men in a car drive-by shoot two dead and a third person injured at University of Central Arkansas.

 

December 2008, Santa Claus opens fire at a family Christmas party in Covina, California, then sets fire to house and shoots himself, police later find nine dead in the debris of the burned out house.

 

March 2009, 28 year old unemployed worker opens fire while driving through several towns in Alabama, killing ten people.

 

April 2009, man kills 13 people at civic center in Binghamton, New York.

 

July 2009, six people are shot to death in a drive-by shooting at a community rally on the campus of Texas Southern University.

 

November 2009, U.S. Army psychologist Major Nidal Hasan opens fire at a military base in Fort Hood, Texas, leaving 13 dead and 42 wounded.

 

February 2010, a professor opened fire 50 minutes into a Biological Sciences Department faculty meeting at the University of Alabama, killing three and wounding three others.

 

January 2011, gunman opens fire outside a grocery store in Tucson, Arizona, leaving 6 dead, wounding 12 others, including Congresswomen Gabrielle Giffords.

 

July 2012, in Colorado, Batman movie killer kills 12 and wounds 58 others.

 

August 2012, Slkh Temple in Wisconsin, gunman opens fire, killing six people, before being gunned down by Wisconsin law enforcement.

 

December 2012, 27 die in Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut, and mother of shooter at her home.

 

 

 

The fatal count, including Columbine, 229 dead, in the years before the Colorado school shootings, well the info is a bit sketchy, but I tell you it’s nowhere near the more than 200 deaths listed from 1999 until May of 2013. And I wonder exactly why anybody would keep a count of mass shootings and use it to argue a point to keep weapons in the hands of citizens…..crazy.

 

MICHAEL MOORE, COMPLETELY UNPREPARED

I agree with Michael Moore on some of his points, while others…..not so much, it’s the same with Bill Maher, I think debates are healthy, but when somebody states an argument on some silly fact that parade around with to make a bunch of noise, I well…..I get pissed off.

 

When gun advocate Sarah Elizabeth Cupp, S.E. for her friends, and Michael Moore kind of got into it with regards to mass shootings before Columbine shootings in 1999, and that since that April 1999 tragedy mass shootings have gone down, I take exception…..and simply say…..”show me your evidence…..right now.”

 

It has taken me little more than an hour to get the grisly details of mass shootings in America since the April, 1999 Colorado shootings, and the list ain’t pretty! In additions to the deaths there were another 203 injured and wounded. Of course there aren’t records kept that detail the emotional stress and the broken minds of some of the survivors.

 

Michael Moore should have called Ms. Cupp out, and demanded she air her information in the light of day, unless he, (Moore) felt that 229 deaths and 203 wounded or injured innocent people weren’t worth his effort. Come on Mike, Bill Maher isn’t about face time, it’s about truth backed up by fact, something clearly S.E. Cupp, like a whole bunch of blow-hards didn’t have.

 

Once again, the person that blew the most hot air was the winner, why to go NRA, maybe Moore is losing his touch with the bubble people of our country.
