DRIP, DRIP, DRIP!

DRIP, DRIP, DRIP!

(Der Spiegel, Breitbart, The Guardian)

(Chicago Sun Times, Frazer Chronicle)

What in the world are you talking about, I get it, sometimes I don’t really know what I’m talking about either, but down at the end of the day, I usually tie things together. Hopefully I can do the same here, because today, in this time of seeming government agencies gone wild, it can be tough to separate the truth from the chaff. But like I always do, I attempt to put things in a proper prospective, and wade through all the mumbo-jumbo that is laid out there in an attempt to keep the country, and people like me chasing its collective tails!

Government now has a brand new bad guy that can be used to shift the blame too, pointing a boney finger at, in their pursuit of continuing to wage a smoke screen, clandestine effort in all of their programs. His name is Edward Snowden and the brotherhood of spooks raise a glass to him and his misguided efforts.

This Snowden cat really didn’t know what he was doing, but it wasn’t divulging reams of classified documents that would expose a bunch of top secret stuff, unless you believe in the tooth fairy…..which I do. Edward Joseph Snowden…..has anybody really put this guy under the microscope, I mean, exactly what background has he come from…..I know for a fact that my impression of his photo, he looks like a strange recluse.

Snowden was born on June 21, 1983, (hey he just had a birthday), congrats Eddy, hope you tipped one for me on your special day. Snowed grew up in North Carolina, his father was a resident of Pennsylvania, and his mother, a resident of Baltimore, Maryland. Guess parenting was kind of a long term relationship.

In 1999, Snowden move with his family to Ellicott City, New Jersey, where he studied computing at Ann Arundel Community College to gain the necessary credits to obtain a high school diploma. For whatever reason, Edward did not complete the course work. Citing illness as the reason he didn’t complete the course, Snowden took and passed his GED equivalency test.

In Snowden’s bio it states that he worked online towards a Master’s Degree at the University of Liverpool in 2011, but doesn’t mention whether or not he graduated with a degree. I rather doubt that he obtained a degree because of an almost classic underachiever record that he seemed to have, no regular high school diploma, his unfinished military career from 2004, (broken legs), during basic training, and then his next life assignment as a security guard for the National Security Agency, (NSA) center for Advanced Study of Language at the University of Maryland.

His rise to a security guard for an NSA installation in Maryland was nothing…..in 2007 Edward Snowden said that he was a CIA agent with diplomatic cover in Geneva, Switzerland where he was responsible for maintaining computer network security, talk about appointing the Fox for security duty in the hen-house.

It seems to me…..and I’m just spit balling here, as if Edward Joseph Snowden was somehow put on the fast track to become a trusted, security cleared, $200,000 employee of a most sensitive operation in the United State’s intelligence community…..and who checked this guy out, I only find passing references to that part of the Snowden story.

Maybe Snowden was hired into the areas he was placed because of two reasons, one, he felt strongly in the American way, and two, because of some of his political meanderings, in one which he stated support for U.S. security state apparatus, and that leakers of classified information should be shot in the balls, I suppose he meant the men only!

I COULD GO FURTHER…..BUT…..IT SEEMS LIKE A LEGACY HAS BEEN BORN

There’s more information out there, but it runs along the same lines, and to me, the information leads me to ask one simple, basic question…..WHY? How in hell did this guy get to the lofty position that he seemed to be in. How could a spying agency be so apparently lax in its background check of a position that paid between $122,000 all the way up to $200,000 a year? I know a whole bunch of recent college graduates with degrees coming out their…..ears, yet Edward Snowden gets a seeming plum job…..geez, go figure.

Somehow to me, this all seems staged, I’ve seen it in movies in the past, misunderstood kid, underachiever, loner, disinterested parents, obsessions…..this time, Snowden’s interest in computers, his seeming easy access to top secret positions…..all without a degree in anything…..of importance. It could be a script for a great movie.

And now we have emerging allegations that the United States intelligence community has been eavesdropping on our own allies! “There goes the neighborhood”. That’s right, in a breaking story that will cause…..whatever kind of repercussions that United States security people usually cause, European leaders will all get all het-up shake a wagging finger at the U.S. and then go on about their business.

Like the United States and her citizens, these super sky-guys want to know everything about everybody, especially foreign everybodies! And after all, we are Americans, protector of the masses…..so just shut up and let us do our jobs!

A story by Reuters states that up to a half-billion German phone messages were taped, half a billion, just say that, “half a billion” the number just rolls off your tongue…..I have absolutely no understanding of anything were the figure half a billion is used.

Get this, in an average day, the NSA monitors about 20 million German phone connections and 10 million internet data sets, rising to 60 million phone connections on a busy day. It’s kind of funny, the United States cyber-espionage program is called Prism, and we learn that the British have an equivalent program called Tempora…..could these programs be some sort of payback for World War 2?

WHAT’S THE COST ON WIRE-TAPING

Whatever the cost on these surveillance is, whatever good is realized by the practice…..I’m sure that it’s keeping Americans safer here at home. Since September 11, 2001 we fight our battles on foreign ground, it’s easier, and although the cost is higher in terms of green-backs, we do not suffer the same losses as our enemies do.

The defense budget of the United States is staggering…..and we don’t even have a clear picture of how much that budget is. We have a problem here in our country…..it’s called misplaced priorities, and it’s getting bigger by the day. What would we do if we found out that Iran was tapping our phone calls…..that’s right, World War 3, or 4, or whatever the number is at the present time.

I can tell you what the cost of a gallon of gas is at my gas pump, it’s down to $3.59, (listen to me, down to,) what a ridiculous thing to say. Yes it’s down .50 cents from 3 or 4 weeks ago, but still higher then it was (24) months ago…..snap, I’ve been programmed.

No the drip, drip, drip that you hear and read about isn’t a leaky faucet, or an outside spigot you left running, that drip, drip, drip is the money that we are spending to sky on…..well…..everybody, us, them, and they, whoever they are.

And our creditability…..well my friends that was the first drips to go.

HAVE A NICE DAY!
